Peacock Walks

Page history last edited by PBworks 1 yr ago

The peacock walked by me as I stood admiringly and gazed

At the beauty of his unfurling tail

He gazed at me so solemnly and walked on by.

I didn't mind.

I watched him strut so proudly to his mate

Who scratched for lizards in the leaves.

She turned one scornful eye on him and left him there

Alone

He turned and arrogantly walked back to me

So I could admire his glory.

And I did.

Peacock walks step by step

Forward and onward he goes

Nodding his head and waving his tail

Blinking as walking he goes

Beautiful Bird
